REVITALIZE

Over the past seven years, Haiti has faced a continuous wave of challenges, yet resilience has remained at its core. Kay Tita’s journey began in 2010, when the devastating earthquake directly impacted the home of Augusta (Tita) Bienvenue-Pierre-Louis. Since that moment, her son, David Zhu-Pierre-Louis, as depicted in the documentary Kenbe Fem, has dedicated his life to reshaping the community where his mother’s home once stood.
"Revitalize" is both a movement and an exhibit that sheds light on the community directly touched and transformed by these efforts. Over the past seven years, a dedicated team of local and diaspora Haitians has remained optimistic and committed to serving their homeland, driving forward the vision for a brighter future.
The "Revitalize" exhibit humanizes this journey, offering the audience an interactive experience that tells the story of Kay Tita, Impact Hub Port-au-Prince, the team, and the community. It highlights their contributions both in Haiti and globally, sharing their shared vision for a sustainable future.
Under David's leadership, the team is turning his mother's property into Haiti’s first certified Living Building—a 12,000-square-foot, five-story, 100% sustainable community resource center. The exhibit will blend art, photography, multimedia installations, and personal stories, creating an immersive experience that brings to life the core values of education, entrepreneurship, sustainability, and community empowerment.
